Sixtine Dano graduated with a Master’s degree in Animated Filmmaking from Gobelins, l’École de l’Image. She works as a 2D animator on feature films, short films, music videos, and advertising projects, while also pursuing a career as an illustrator for non-profit organizations and children’s publishing, and teaching animation.

In 2018, together with three fellow students, she co-directed her graduation short film, Thermostat 6, an award-winning eco-fiction that was selected for numerous international festivals.

Sixtine also leads a parallel life as a climate activist, working with several environmental organizations. At the same time, she has helped establish a number of artist collectives committed to social and environmental causes, including Artists for Climate, Les Artistes Alertes, and Formes des Luttes.

With Sibylline, her first graphic novel, Sixtine tells the intimate and complex story of a university student drawn into prostitution. The narrative is inspired by the powerful real-life testimonies of “escort girls” and “sugar babies” whom she met in Paris over several years.
