(ジェローム・アルキエ)

Born in 1975, Jérôme Alquié grew up under the influence of some of the most iconic Japanese animated series of the 1980s, including UFO Robot Grendizer (Goldorak), Captain Harlock (Albator), and Saint Seiya (Knights of the Zodiac). From an early age, he developed a deep passion for Japanese animation and illustration, which would go on to shape his artistic career.
In the early 2000s, he truly launched his professional career by creating numerous illustrations for DVD covers and merchandise related to these cult series. He subsequently continued exploring these universes through a wide range of official artwork, including posters, packaging designs, promotional visuals, and several art books. Between 2017 and 2019, he notably produced the official art books for Ulysses 31, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, and Inspector Gadget.
In 2011, he entered the world of Franco-Belgian comics with Surnaturels, a series created in collaboration with writer Arnaud Dollen and published by Delcourt (currently four volumes). He also contributed to the Mythics series alongside Patrick Sobral, creator of Les Légendaires, demonstrating his ability to work across a wide variety of genres and fictional worlds.
A few years later, a meeting with the editorial director of Kana Editions gave him the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream: drawing the heroes who had inspired him growing up, first Captain Harlock (Albator), and later Saint Seiya (Knights of the Zodiac), through official projects that have since become defining milestones of his career.
