Camille Royer is coming to the Tokyo BD Festival 2026!
The 2nd Tokyo BD Festival, taking place on October 31 and November 1, 2026, is delighted to welcome comic book creator Camille Royer!
With The Crow Woman (La Femme Corneille), a story that gently encourages readers to spread their wings and free their spirits, and Lou des Bois, immersed in the soft and enchanting atmosphere of the forest, Camille Royer crafts narratives infused with a distinctive sensitivity. Across her works runs a unique warmth, breath, and tenderness, bringing to life worlds that are at once intimate, poetic, and deeply evocative.

Camille Royer
(カミーユ・ロワイエ)

Camille Royer (born in 1997) studied at the École Estienne in Paris and at the School of Fine Arts in Angoulême. Her first book, My First Dream in Japanese (Mon premier rêve en japonais, Futuropolis, 2019), received critical acclaim upon its release. French-Japanese, she now lives in Tokyo. She is also the author of The Crow Woman (La Femme corneille), based on a story by Geoffrey Le Guilcher (Futuropolis, 2023).
