Zanzim will be there !
From Saturday 1st November to Sunday 2nd November 2025, the Tokyo BD Festival will welcome comic book artist Zanzim, in collaboration with publishers Glenat and Thousand Books. His remarkable comic book ‘Peau d'homme’ (Man's Skin), written by Hubert, will be published in Japanese in 2025.

Zanzim, whose real name is Frédéric Leutelier, was born in Laval on 5 January 1972. He grew up in Mayenne, where there wasn't much to do other than read comic books... and draw! He currently lives in Rennes and works at the Atelier Pépé Martini with a dozen other comic book authors. He participated in Comix 2000 and published Les Yeux Verts, La Sirène des Pompiers and Ma vie posthume with Hubert, as well as Tartuffe with Duval. He also contributed to the collective work Les Gens Normaux, published in Casterman's ‘Écritures’ collection. In 2015, he made his debut as a writer and illustrator with L'île aux Femmes. Also published in the 1000 Feuilles collection, the album recounts the colourful adventures of a seducer and acrobat who finds himself trapped on an island cut off from the world and populated by women. In 2020, he illustrated Peau d'Homme, written by Hubert. The book sold over 200,000 copies and received numerous awards (Fauve des lycéens, Grand Prix de la critique ACBD, Prix Landerneau, Prix des Libraires, Grand Prix RTL, Prix Wolinski de la BD, etc.).
