Takehito Moriizumi at the Tokyo BD Festival!
From Saturday 1 November to Sunday 2 November 2025, artist Takehito Moriizumi will participate in the Tokyo Comic Festival as a guest of the Polish Institute in Tokyo. In 2025, he adapted Stanislaw Lem's science fiction novel ‘Solaris’ into a manga, carefully illustrating the profound questions and emotions addressed in the novel in his own unique style.

Mangaka. Born in Tokyo in 1975. He made his debut in 2010 with the publication of ‘Marie of the Forest’ in the September issue of Comic Beam magazine. His major works include ‘Kafka's Castle and Three Other Stories’ (2015), ‘Reward is Reward, Punishment is Punishment’ (2017), “Seri” (2018), ‘Murakami Haruki's Firefly and Orwell's 1984’ (2019), ‘Like Nails, The Last Ferry and Other Stories’ (2020), ‘Asleep’ (2021), ‘The Twilight World’ (2022), and ‘The Investigation of Nana Sasasana’ (2024). He is also the author of ‘My Nobuhiko Obayashi Chronicle,’ which recounts his days spent with his stepfather, director Nobuhiko Obayashi.
