Mr. Tan is back in Tokyo!

From Saturday 1 November to Sunday 2 November 2025, the Tokyo BD Festival will welcome Mr Tan, author of comic books and novels, guest of Mr Tan & Co. publishing, in collaboration with the French Copyright Office in Tokyo!

During the book signing event held in May 2025 at the Maison Petit Renard bookshop, the 60 available spots were snapped up in just a few hours, demonstrating the enthusiasm for his work. If you were unable to attend in May, don't miss this opportunity this autumn!

Mr Tan
（ムッシュー・タン）

Antoine Dole, alias Mr Tan, is a comic book writer. A prolific author, he has created numerous comic book universes for publishing (Casterman, Actes Sud, Gallimard, Glénat, Bayard, etc.) and children's magazines (Le Journal de Mickey, Bayard Presse). Antoine Dole has written manga and numerous novels for teenagers and young adults, all of which have been critically acclaimed and won multiple awards. He is also known as the creator of the famous Mortelle Adèle, which he imagined when he was 14 years old. A heroine with a strong character, she provides him with an opportunity to explore childhood fantasies, the question of norms and differences, and the line between impertinence and tender demands. More than just the storyline, Mr Tan conceived the character of Mortelle Adèle, shaped her personality, and was the first to sketch her features in his school notebooks. In Japan, he is known for his character Gadou.
