Clémentine Fourcade in Tokyo !
こぎつねFrom Saturday 1 November to Sunday 2 November 2025, the Tokyo BD Festival will welcome Clémentine Fourcade.
In ‘BACK TO JAPAN,’ illustrated by herself with the collaboration of Laure Garancher, she depicts the great motorcycle journey of adventurer Mélusine Mallender, based on her own experiences, and powerfully expresses her perspective on foreign cultures and the spirit of adventure in women.

Clémentine Fourcade
（クレマンティーヌ・フルカード）
Clémentine Fourcade is a French cartoonist and illustrator. A graduate of the École supérieure des industries graphiques Estienne, she now works as a freelancer for the press, publishing and communications. In 2021, she published her first comic book, Dans les pas du fils, with Calmann-Lévy Graphic, based on the novel of the same name (Kero, 2016). Her work can be described in three words: ‘delicate, vivid and realistic’. She uses a semi-realistic style to achieve a flexible and dynamic expression, while depicting a vision of the world rooted in reality. She excels in the art of weaving stories while paying particular attention to colours and details, in order to vividly convey the world around her.
