Alix Garin in Tokyo !
こぎつねFrom Saturday 1 November to Sunday 2 November 2025, the Tokyo Comic Festival will have the honour of welcoming Alix Garin, invited by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (FWB) and the French Institut Of Tokyo . Her first graphic novel, Ne m'oublie pas, published in 2021 by Le Lombard, was critically acclaimed and won the Prix France Culture des étudiants, the Prix Fnac BD Belgique, the Prix Rossel and the Prix Première Œuvre de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.

ALIX GARIN

Alix Garin was born in Belgium in 1997. While still a student, she was noticed as the winner of the Young Talent Award at the Quai des Bulles festival in Saint Malo in 2017. In 2021, her first graphic novel, Ne m'oublie pas, was published by Éditions Le Lombard, then won five awards and was translated into fifteen languages. In 2024, her second album, Impénétrable, was published by the same publisher and impressed readers with its accuracy and power. It won the Fauve Prix du Public at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2025. Through a delicate and sincere style, she tackles intimate and universal themes: the passage of time, desires, identity and the quest for freedom.
